Katrina was a fantastic host!

Katrina was a fantastic host! Our suite was perfect for our trip up to Maine, and she was happy to let us bring our dog. Katrina was incredibly welcoming and helpful and we had a great stay in her beautiful home. In addition to making us feel at home, she provided some great dining suggestions. If you stay in the area, you must try Meanwhile in Belfast for dinner. It's only a short drive away. If we're ever back in the area, we will certainly stay there again. Thanks!

great value for money!

We (4 adults and 2 dogs) stayed at Katrina's place for 3 nights and used it as a launching pad for visiting Bar Harbor / Acadia. The rental was great value for money. Winterport itself is a very pretty town that we would've loved to explore more of. The room was stocked with all kinds of amenities including sanitizer and plenty of medical supplies if needed. We never felt uncomfortable at any point during our stay. As a host, Katrina's quick responses to questions couldn't have been any quicker - I would literally see her typing her response before I finished asking her a question! Go visit!

I can never thank Katrina enough for this experience!

For my first Airbnb experience, Katrina set the bar extremely high. Great communication, the house was great, exceeded my expectations. I mentioned that I was a photographer when booking the place and Katrina gave me some great tips on where to shoot and that alone is invaluable. I can never thank Katrina enough for this experience. When I crossed the border into Maine, I already wanted to come back and now I know where I wanna stay for future visits. My dog, Prince and I, felt welcome from the moment we pulled into the driveway. 10/10 would recommend!

So much space for the price!

Katrina & Jessica will do anything possible to make a stay comfortable. Easy-to-use, well-labelled kitchen. So much space for the price! This was a perfect pivot for touring Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park, Bangor, Castine, Blue Hill, Fort Knox & the Observatory. Loved our walks in the picturesque town of Winterport.

Our suite was just beautiful!

Our suite was just beautiful, and came complete with a history of the house as well as info about local activities and venues. Wish we'd had more time to explore the rest of the house-- we got in late and so went pretty much straight to bed (it was very comfy).

Katrinas place was great!

Katrinas place was great! The old house is really historic and has lots of historic things to see. The bed in our room was so big, we almost got lost. The big old house and all it's rooms were confusing at first, but got used to it - especially that great dining room and the kitchen. The communincation was great, as Katrina and Tristan were. Highly recommended for a stay if you are looking for one of the oldest houses in Maine and really nice and interesting people to meet there.

This house is full of Old Charm and a comfort!

This house is full of Old Charm and a comfortable king size bed. Katrina has a little welcome basket in the room with tea/ coffee and chocolates. The little hot water pot is really nice for instant coffee or hot tea. She set out real China cups and saucers! My daughter and I really enjoyed our short stay. Thank so much for hosting us! I would definitely return if in the area.

Driftwood Hunting on the Penobscot River in Winterport, Maine

Just steps from the door of Crooked Steeple runs the Penobscot River. You can't swim in the river as it's tidal and the current is quite strong. However, a walk along it edges is highly recommended! You never know what you might come across. Since the Penobscot is one of the oldest traveled rivers by Western Explorers, there are plenty of treasures to find. Starting with the Portuguese explorer Estevan Gómez in 1525, and earlier peoples, the river has been a well traveled.

With the river right outside our door, we recently took the chance to go driftwood hunting. Our driftwood walk brought us many interesting pieces we plan to incorporate in our Crooked Steeple and 1812 Pierce House accommodations. Maine rivers are full of exciting finds! We encourage you to take a walk along the river when you visit. Make sure you pack your muck boots and you're ready to get a little muddy!

Katrina and her home were both amazing!

Katrina and her home were both amazing. Katrina is incredibly nice and helpful, she gave us many great suggestions on places to go and fun things to do and helped keep our trip fun. The home was beautiful, with a historic feel while still being very clean functional and nice. Me and my friends would definitely stay at Katrina's home again. Thanks so much Katrina!

My experience was truly wonderful!

This was my first airbnb experience, so I have nothing to compare it to; however, that being said, my experience was truly wonderful! I had to make last minute arrangements, so Katrina had very little notice of my coming (hours, rather than days!) She responded with genuine warmth -- I felt welcome from the first communication. Katrina was quick to reply to my text questions about the area: what to do, where to eat, and so forth, and her recommendations were spot on. Her home is quite lovely and easy to find. The room I had is very large -- plenty of room to move/stretch/whatever, and the bed is wonderfully comfortable! I needed to leave early the next morning, so Katrina set me up with a French Press of coffee the night before -- all I had to do was turn on the water and give the beans a quick grind. I am happy to recommend Katrina's airbnb to anyone who is traveling through the area and needs a place to stay!!

Can't say enough how COMFY the bed was!

Can't say enough how COMFY the bed was! A warm welcome for two weary spring break road trippers. Katrina and her family were friendly hosts and more than accommodating to us. Our first time staying at an AirBnB and we couldn't imagine a better stay. We would love to come back sometime!

Great value, very cool historic home!

My first Airbnb stay with anyone. I was quite self conscious about living amongst a family, but Katrina's affable personality and a couple of glasses of wine disarmed me quickly. Before long I was competing (and losing badly) on computer games with her youngest son. Great value, very cool historic home with good access to some of the most picturesque spots in Maine. A great mom who is doing a fine job of organizing her life in a way that she can spend lots of quality time raising her two nice young sons. There is truth in advertising in how Katrina describes the stay. If you wish for solitude after a long trip, there's a big room with a comfy bed waiting. If you're looking for an interesting chat, Katrina will be there with a glass of wine and a funny story. I travel extensively, and it was a very good experience for me.

The house was beautiful, warm and cozy

My daughter, a high school senior, and I stayed with Katrina for three nights while she toured UMaine. I was initially drawn to Katrina's house because of the close proximity to the university, and I will be staying there again when we come to visit my daughter once school starts. The house was beautiful, warm and cozy. Katrina was friendly and made us feel right at home and it was a pleasure getting to know her. We found the house to be exactly as it was described, and we had a wonderful experience all the way around.
